What the model does

The System Lab combines relative CPU and GPU performance tiers with per-game workload weights, resolution, graphics quality and memory configuration. It reports estimated FPS ranges, estimated 1% lows and the component more likely to limit the selected workload.

What “bottleneck” means here

TapLab uses an estimated workload-imbalance percentage. It is not a claim that a component permanently wastes that percentage in every game or application.

PSU and refresh-rate guidance

PSU results are headroom estimates and do not replace vendor connector, transient-load or quality guidance. Refresh-rate fit is a planning hint based on estimated frame-rate range, not a guarantee.

Accuracy

Maps, patches, thermals, drivers, background software, memory timings and exact settings can move real performance significantly. See Methodology and Sources for the model limitations.
